The Computerworld Honors Medallion is presented annually to individuals or designated representatives of institutions and organizations who have submitted materials approved and accepted for inclusion in The Computerworld Honors Archives On-Line and the archives and permanent research collections of the international institutions supported by the program.
The Commemorative Medallion is gilt pewter on a ribbon of banded gold and sand. The obverse of the medal depicts a Corinthian column, synchronizing the classic and never-ending search for innovation, dedication, talent, and achievement worthy of special recognition. The reverse bears the motto of the Computerworld Honors Program: "A Search for New Heroes."
The Computerworld Honors Chairmens Committee recognizes outstanding uses of Information Technology in ten categories.
