Computerworld Honors Program Award Levels

Laureate:
Once an organization submits a Case Study and it is accepted by the Program, that organization is considered a Laureate or Laureate organization. All Laureates will be recognized at our Laureate Medal Ceremony, on the first Monday in June. The Laureate is recognized specifically for the project in their Case Study, with the presentation of a Gold medal.

Finalist:
Once an organization is named a Laureate, the organization has an opportunity for further recognition. An independent panel of Judges for each of the ten categories of nominations, determine the top five Case Studies in each category. These organizations are considered Finalists with a total of fifty, five in each of the ten categories. Each Finalist receives a lucite plaque.

21st Century Achievement Award Recipient:
Of the fifty Finalists, ten are chosen to become the 21st Century Achievement Award Recipients, one in each of the ten Categories. These organizations are considered the best in the class and each receive the highest award from the program.

Leadership Award Recipient:
Each year the program recognizes a number of individuals (versus organizations) whose work is particularly noteworthy. Established in 1990, this program seeks out and recognizes outstanding leaders of the information technology revolution who have had exemplary careers. Awards are limited to only four companies, through sponsorship only and limited to the companies that make up the Chairmen’s Committee.
