ANNUAL JUNE AWARDS CEREMONY

THE 21ST CENTURY
ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

For one evening each June, Washington, D.C.’s historic National Building Museum is transformed as leaders of the information technology revolution gather from all over the world to renew old acquaintances, recognize excellence, honor achievement, and announce the recipients of the year's coveted Computerworld Honors.

The June Gala honors both outstanding individuals and extraordinary organizations and institutions.

Leadership Awards in four categories, also presented at this annual ceremony, honor exemplary personal contributions to the information technology revolution.

Fifty Computerworld Honors Laureates, selected by an outstanding panel of judges for the exemplary quality of the use of information technology by their organizations or institutions are recognized as Computerworld Honors Worldwide Finalists.

From these Worldwide Finalists ten are singled out for special
recognition as recipients of Computerworld Honors 21st Century Achievement Awards.

The National Building Museum provides the perfect setting for the annual June gala.
Built in 1887 to house the pension authority for the Grand Army of the Republic, the building has served as a highly functional architectural database, a monument to the heroes of the American Civil War and a celebratory venue of the first distinction, hosting, among other things, inaugural balls, Presidential medal-presentation ceremonies, concerts, the Penn/Faulkner Jefferson Lectures, and, since 1990, the Computerworld Honors’
June Awards Gala.
